Pensacola, Florida
Sharks, redfish, and pompano — fought from the sand, not a boat — on the beaches around Pensacola, Florida.
Land based shark fishing in Pensacola is one of the most accessible ways to fight a big fish on the Gulf Coast. There is no boat ride, no seasickness, and no marina to get to — you meet Capt. Arinton on the sand, the rods go out, and the Gulf of Mexico does the rest. Pensacola sits at the western edge of the Florida Panhandle, and its beaches put you within casting distance of the sharks, redfish, and pompano that move through the surf.
The Pensacola area gives up a mix of species depending on the season. Blacktip and spinner sharks push through the troughs off the public beaches; redfish work the washes and the cuts; pompano cruise the sandbars on lighter tackle. Because we fish from shore, we can shift beach access points to follow the bite without running a boat.
Capt. Arinton has run more than 450 charters on these beaches since moving to Pensacola in 2019. He handles the rigging, reads the water, and coaches you through the fight. All gear is provided — rods, reels, circle hooks, and bait — and no experience is needed. Total beginners and experienced surf fishermen both land fish here.
Every trip follows current FWC shore-based shark fishing rules: circle hooks only, no dragging sharks onto the beach, and catch-and-release. We are licensed and permitted, and we fish by the book so the Pensacola fishery stays healthy for years to come.
Trips run from the Pensacola area to the barrier beaches east and west. Call or text (850) 530-3971 to book a land based shark fishing trip in Pensacola — Capt. Arinton will confirm your date and pick the right beach for the conditions.
