If you've never done this before, the questions are usually the same: is it scary, do I need experience, what actually happens out there, and what if I've never held a rod in my life. Here's the honest answer, no sales pitch.
You don't need any experience
I provide all the gear, and I mean all of it — rods, reels, rigs, bait, everything. If you've never fished a day in your life, that's fine. If you've fished your whole life, that's fine too. I run trips for total beginners and serious anglers, and the trip adjusts to who's actually there.
How the day actually works
You meet me on the beach — no dock, no boat, no three-hour-before-sunrise check-in. I handle the rigging and the cast, because that's both the safest way to run a shark trip and the way I keep every trip inside current Florida shark fishing regulations. Once a shark takes the bait, that's your fight. You're standing in the surf, rod bent, fighting a fish that can genuinely pull back — and there's nothing between you and it. No boat rail, no engine noise, just you, the rod, and the shark.
What you might catch
I specialize in three species out here: sharks, redfish, and pompano. Depending on the season, we might be working a shark rig for something like a blacktip or bull shark, or working the surf for redfish and pompano running the same stretch of beach. I'll tell you honestly, based on the day's conditions and time of year, what's realistic to target — not just what sounds exciting.
Is it safe?
Yes, for you and for the shark. Every trip follows current FWC shore-based shark fishing rules: circle hooks, no dragging the shark onto the sand, immediate release for protected species, minimal handling time. You'll never be asked to touch the shark or get closer than is safe. The whole point is a clean fight and a clean release — that's what makes this sustainable enough to keep doing for years, not just a one-time stunt.
Who you're fishing with
I'm Arinton. I've been fishing since I was 12, taught by my dad in the Florida Keys, and spent years working Miami waters for snook and tarpon before moving to Pensacola in 2019. Since then this is what I do — shore fishing on the Gulf Coast, sharks, redfish, and pompano, 450+ charters run. I built this business because I like nothing more than putting a rod in someone's hands for the first big fight of their life.
What to bring
Comfortable clothes you don't mind getting wet or sandy, sunscreen, water, and a camera if you want proof for the group chat. That's it. I've got the rest covered.
